Protest Called off by Sikhs temporarily in Mumbai: Mumbai Sikhs have called off the protest after assurance by the Government that action shall be taken against accused for killing Balkar Singh. ‘This withdrawal is temporary and if the Sikhs are not satisfied by the steps taken by the Government to fullfil its’ promise then protests shall start from Monday’ said Sikh representatives while announcing the call off.

Protest held at Ludhiana: Sikhs hold strong protests in the Industrial city of Ludhiana in wake of yesterday’s Mumbai Killing. They raised demand of arrest of dera sauda head.

Ultimatum by Damdami Taksal: Baba Harnam Singh, head of Damdami Taksal today issued an ultimatum till 24th June, 2008 to the Government to arrest dera sauda head. He said warned that if the demand is not met with the the prescribed time limit a public protest shall be launched and railway traffic shall be blocked. Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Panch Pardhani) and Sikh Students Federation has supported this announcement.

SGPC announces Rs. 5 lakh for Sikh killed in Mumbai: Shriomani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on Saturday announced Rs. 5 lakh for the family of the Sikh who was killed in firing by security guards by Dera Sachcha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in Mumbai.
